Eyes are no doubt your greatest asset. Since majority of us work in front of computers or watch TV for hours, it is our duty to protect them from strain.
Common eye strain symptoms are “colour fringes”, “after images”, as well as problems like watery, dry, sore, itching, vision.
Following tips would help you minimize eye strain problems.
- There should be as little glare as possible.
- Font size should be large enough for comfortable viewing.
- The working room should be well lit and cool.

- Distance between your eyes should be 20-26 inches.
- The monitor should be tilted at 10-20 degrees.
- Top of the monitor should be slightly below horizontal eye level.
- Take regular breaks, look at distant objects at regular intervals and make sure your eyelids blinking rate is normal.
- Screen brightness should be low, contrast optimal.
